I shot this back in October 2017 and totally forgot about it!
The Milky Way was very low and setting to the West, catching more colour closer to the horizon.
It was a warm night which felt really strange, shooting in a t-shirt. Three months earlier when I was at this location shooting “Crystalline” the lake was totally frozen and it was well below zero.
If you look closely you can see my 4wd and head torch on the other shore.
Shot at Lake Roundabout, Canterbury, New Zealand.
Canon 6D, 50mm Sigma Art, iOptron iPano
10s, f1.4, ISO 6400, 96 shots stitched in Autopano Giga, later cropped.
