The lone tree – mystic as it glows upon the horizon of stars, yet lonely – with no others to share in its majestic presence.
To me, this tree represents not so much the emptiness of being alone, but the independence – it has grown strong, entrenching its roots deep in the ground, firmly establishing its place among the grass in North Canterbury farmland.
Although not surrounded by much else, the tree stands powerful on its own, it relies on nothing but the glow of the sun and the fall of the rain to maintain its existence.
It’s lesson is simple – with self-care, nourishment and passion – anything is possible.
Don’t rely solely on others to achieve your dreams – you, alone, are strong… You, alone, are beautiful.
What are your lone aspirations?
